Kathryn + Eric | Mobile Alabama Wedding | Ashland Place + Battle House Hotel

This was a dream! Truly, the perfect day of absolute beauty, peaceful expectation and joy. I remember first meeting Katie and her beautiful mother for coffee to chat about photos and ideas. We shared stories over wedding plans and I instantly adored them both, feeling like we had been friends all our lives. Then, one sunny day, I got to meet handsome Eric at their engagement session. And I instantly knew he was a gem, and he and Katie were perfect for each other, and this was a match made in real Heaven. By the time their special day came around, I was trying to figure out how to get through the day without shedding a few happy tears. I never stood a chance. (*See image below of sweet bridesmaids praying over their best friend.) Thanks to a dream team of vendors, two AMAZING families, and a host of gleeful friends, I got the chance to photograph something really, really, really special. And I am Forever Grateful to you two, #ForeverYoungs. Thank you so much, Katie.
Special thank you to Elizabeth Gelineau for being my other set of eyes and capturing some incredible moments with me. High five, girlfriend. You’re the best.

Kathryn Morgan Young is a former soloist with the New York City Ballet. When I say she is talented, gifted, absolutely INCREDIBLE — it’s the understatement of the year. Go see for yourself on her YouTube channel or website! From Katie: “On my channel I make ballet, beauty, and lifestyle videos for everyone of all ages. My goal is help dancers improve and achieve their dreams as well as open up the ballet world to non dancers. You will see many different kinds of how-to videos here including makeup, hair, ballet workouts and exercises, Q and A sessions, lifestyle advice, and DIY on this channel. I hope you find all of my videos helpful!”
