Battle House Hotel | Andrea + TL | Vow Renewal

Well, I couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2016! The camera was put away for a few months as we welcomed our new little baby into the world – well, the camera wasn’t exactly put away – you know it has seen a ton of action capturing our awesome son! But, I did take a good bit of time off and it was truly wonderful for me to start the new year with several clients that are all uniquely special to me! I met this particular gorgeous lady many years ago as I photographed her friend’s wedding (shout out to Matt & Shannon Harkins!)… then another friend’s wedding… then ANOTHER friend’s wedding… and so on! I was so flattered that she asked me to continue the tradition and capture her 10 year vow renewal at the Battle House Hotel! It was a blast to be there and see so many sweet couples that I have been honored to serve over the years, all gathered together to celebrate the marriage of Andrea and TL. These guys are all so fun and they make my job super easy. I love every chance I get to share my work with them! Enjoy this preview of an awesome night.

Congratulations to Andrea and TL on 10 amazing years of marriage!

Point Clear Wedding | Micah + Chris

This may be one of the longer posts on this little blog.
I’ve been blessed with some incredible weddings throughout my years as a photographer. Some of them more casual, some of them more formal, some so beautifully planned down to the very last detail – and ALL of them unique and special. For each one, it’s a privilege to be a part in a small way of a couple’s dream day, to offer these tangible memories that they can cherish for the rest of their lives. Not only them, but their families, and their children, and their grandchildren too. But this year, it seems like I am more on the receiving end than ever of the blessing. This precious couple, Micah + Chris, allowed me to capture more than a wedding day. They allowed me to witness their coming together in a covenant, in worship to God, and I was so refreshed by their sweet desire to glorify Him in their vows and throughout the day. Even when things when wiry at the start (it wouldn’t be a wedding day without a few surprises and kinks!) there was a beautiful sense of peace and love that just clothed the entire day with sweetness. This song you will hear on the slideshow was the song they chose for their First Dance as husband and wife. For various reasons, I have had it on repeat, just savoring the truth in the lyrics and letting it wash over my heart. It reminds me of my own wedding day, when I felt such a strong sense of being richly loved by my Heavenly Father. It reminds me of the innocence and unconditional love I see in my own daughter when she is dancing and playing with her daddy, such trust and joy in her eyes. I hope you will take a few minutes to listen and let it encourage you today. And enjoy this sneak peek from Micah and Chris’ wedding day!

Bragg Mitchell Wedding | Ashley + Drew

From our first afternoon together taking engagement photos around Baldwin county fields (see that post HERE!), I knew these two were going to have a FUN wedding day! Fun and absolutely gorgeous! Ashley was such a beauty, (I’ll be sharing some of her bridal session images soon, which are so very pretty!) and Drew such a light-hearted and fun-loving guy! First groom I’ve ever had bring his guitar to the engagement session, which made some super cute shots. Their wedding was on a perfect Spring day that transitioned into an evening of dancing and celebration that was all lit so beautifully by those glorious chandeliers hanging from the old oak trees. Vendor info on all the lovely details can be found at the bottom of this post. Enjoy this sneak peek from their special day!
